Walgreens making things simpler.

Walgreens is my go to pharmacy since they have the most 24 hour pharmacies and drive thru pharmacy nationwide.

Recently Walgreens and Express Scripts cut ties, how will this effect us the consumer? After contract negotiations between  Walgreens and Express Script failed.  What is Walgreens doing to help us the consumer? Their answer to no longer contracting with Express Scripts is to offer us the consumer is for consumers to enroll in the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.

What is the cost to the consumer to become a member of the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club?

Right now during the month of January they are offering single person memberships for $5. Families can join for $10.  A  Family membership can include dependents up to the age of 22 and some pet medications.

What can a consumer expect from a membership with Walgreens Prescription Savings Club?
 

  • A consumer can expect discount on over 8,000 brand name and all generic medications.
  • Also included is discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers, and diabetic supplies.
  • Once a member you get bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photo finshing services.
